Frequently Asked Questions
The following questions are frequently asked through the Help & Support system, and in most cases can be solved by one of the solutions listed below. Please click on each question to see the answer.

I have forgotten/lost my password, how do I get back into my account?

A: You will be required to reset your password in order to gain access to your record. To do this, visit the following link: https://www.vctms.co.uk/ Select ’Reset your password’, then input your username (please note that this may be different from your email address) and tick the box to confirm that you are not a robot. You will then receive an email containing a link to reset your password. Please check your junk folder as these emails occasionally filter into here.

Please be aware that we cannot resend your original password to you for data protection purposes, all learners are required to reset their password using the link above.
When I start the training and click on ‘Begin Training’, the material does not load. What do I do now?

A: This is usually because the browser and/or Flash Player that you are using is not compatible with our system. To check your system compatibility, please visit the following link: https://www.vc-tms.co.uk/vc/compatibility_check.asp.

If your browser and Flash Player are compatible with the system, we recommend deleting your temporary internet files.
My course seems to be stuck and I can’t proceed. What can I do?

A: In some cases this is because some of the course pages have not been fully reviewed and you will be unable to move on until this has been completed. To see whether any sections are outstanding, please select the ’Menu’ tab to see all the module pages. Those still listed in black text have not been fully reviewed (those listed in grey are fully complete).* When you are on the relevant page, ensure that you click on all interactive features and listen to the narration until the end before selecting ‘Next’.

How do I print and/or save my certificate?

A: To print your certificate, click on the 'Completed Learning' tab. You should see a small printer icon to the right of the relevant course name. Once you have clicked on this, please follow the instructions on screen.

This feature requires that you have Flash installed to check if you have flash installed, please click the link to this Compatibility Check to find out, if you do not have flash installed follow the instructions to download it.

To save your certificate, please ensure that you are using Google Chrome as your browser. Next, follow the steps above, but when prompted to select the printer to which you would like to send the certificate, select ‘Save as PDF’ instead. You will then be prompted to select a file on your computer in which to save this for future access.
Why won’t my course run on my iPad?

A: Many of our courses are created in Articulate Storyline, which will run on tablet and mobile devices including iPads and iPhones. However, a few of our older courses are developed in Flash, which iPads don’t support automatically. In this case, you will need to download a mobile browser with Flash support, such as Puffin. Please ensure that you read the terms and conditions before downloading any applications.
How do I book myself onto a face-to-face course?

A: If your employer provides face to face training, this will be available for you to request through the “Requested Learning” tab on your learner record. To view available courses, log-in to your record and select the “Requested Learning” tab, followed by “Course Request”, where you will see the available training. Select the relevant course and then select “Request Course”, following the instructions on screen.
How do I cancel my attendance on a face-to-face course?

A: To cancel your attendance, log-in to your record and select the event name from under the heading “Active Events”. Next, select “Cancel Attendance”, before submitting a reason for your cancellation and selecting “Submit”.
What can I do if there are no available dates for a face-to-face course?

A: If there are no available dates we would advise checking back on a regular basis to see whether new dates have been added. Alternatively, please contact the organisation who are providing the training to see whether new dates will be added and when.
How do I change the details on my record (name, email address, password)?

A: You can change these details by selecting “Edit Profile” from your main Dashboard once logged into your record.
